KNUST, UR Sign MoU for collaborative activities

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has signed an MoU with the University of Rwanda for collaborative activities in digital development and energy.
The KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP), an Africa Centre of Excellence at KNUST and the African Center of Excellence in Internet of Things (ACEIoT) together with the African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACEESD) at the University of Rwanda will be the main implementers of the activities captured under the MoU.

These collaborative activities include:

  • Joint research applications which involve exploring the opportunity of undertaking joint research projects together.
  • Mobility among faculty members and students where academic exchange programs will be organized for students and faculty members. Faculty members will use the exchange programme to teach, aid in research and offer professional trainings.
  • Collaborative workshops, seminars and academic meetings will be held as well.
  • Developing tailor-made professional development short courses

This MoU aims at generating new knowledge to address problems faced by Ghana, Rwanda and the sub region by offering state-of -the art postgraduate and doctorial programs as well as undertaking collaborative projects which offer opportunities for long term interactions with industry and academia.
