Prof. Charles Kabiri

Charles Kabiri received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Rwanda in 2006, and his M.S. degree in Information and Communication Systems in 2010 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Department of Electronics and Information Systems, Wuhan, China. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication Systems in April 2015 from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Faculty of Computing, Karlskrona, Sweden.

He worked at CIMERWA Ltd as an electrical and maintenance engineer since 2007, before joining the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the National University of Rwanda in August 2007. He is currently a Senior lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology, Rwanda.

Charles Kabiri is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National University of Rwanda since 2006, M.S. degree (2010) in Information and Communication Systems from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, and Ph.D. degree (2015) from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Faculty of Computing, Karlskrona, Sweden. He is currently a lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology, and Acting Director of African Center of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development.

His current research interests are in the areas of cognitive radio networks, cooperative communications, energy harvesting, and renewable energy.
