Six PhD Candidates Successfully Defend Their Research Theses

On 30 September 2024, six PhD candidates successfully defended their research theses, qualifying them for inclusion on the list of graduands for the upcoming UR graduation scheduled for 25 October 2024.

The candidates are Ms. Theofrida J. Maginga, Mr. Eric Nizeyimana, Mr. Lule Emmanuel, Mrs. Angelique Mukasine, Mrs. Barbara Kabwiga, and Mr. Fidel Maniraguha. Four of these candidates are sponsored by RSIF, the flagship program of the Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Technology (PASET), an Africa-led initiative affiliated with the World Bank.

This achievement has been made possible through the collaboration that ACEIoT has established with renowned scholars from around the world, who provided expertise and guidance throughout the candidates’ PhD journeys.

The Centre of Excellence in Internet of Things is proud of this accomplishment and is committed to equipping students with the skills necessary to conduct research that addresses existing community challenges.
