The African Center of Excellence in Internet of Things at the University of Rwanda (UR) collaborated with University of Kibungo (UNIK ) in co-organizing and hosting the two day pre-conference Workshop (10 th -11 th July) at the College of Science and Technology main campus in Nyarugenge, Kigali.

Title of the Workshop: Data Matters: Introduction to Data Science and R Programming for Data Analytics.
The goal of this workshop was to provide the basic skills for exploration of few machine learning algorithms, interpretation of data and insights from the data with visualization, which are important for solving a range of Data Science Problems and Internet of Things.

The trainers were from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Indian. The workshop gathered 50 local and regional participants.
