On 19th January 2023, a delegation from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in a visit to University of Rwanda, paid a visit to the African Centre of Excellence in Internet of Things.Their visit was in the framework of the signed partnership with UR in different academic areas.

At the Centre, the delegation toured the recently acquired lab and got briefed on how it is facilitating ongoing students to come up will innovative projects meant to address different challenges faced by the society.

The delegation headed by Professor Tim White, the Vice President (International Engagement) and the President’s Chair in Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University commended the innovations being developed in the lab and suggested that these innovations be scaled up to the society.

After the visit, the delegation delivered a public seminar which focused on different academic opportunities available in Singapore and interested graduates/faculty staff to apply for scholarships to further their skills at Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Nanyang Technological University and UR have recently signed a partnership agreement which will see students/academicians from UR pursuing six-month internship, Master’s programs and research fellowships among other academic opportunities in Singapore.
