ACEIoT train 20 PhD students, researchers on entrepreuneurship

Under the Smart Bee Hive Technology project, 20 students and researchers were trained on entrepeurneship to equip them with necessary skills to create their own businesses. The training took place from 12th to 15th January, 2023.

‘Smart Bee Hive Technology project worth USD 50,000 is funded by the Center of International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) for a period of two years. The main objective of the training was to train students in entrepreneurship and get knowledge which will help them create their own companies or other commercial services .

Some topics covered during the training include Introducing entrepreneurship in beekeeping and the nature of beekeepers entrepreneurs, Characteristics of an entrepreneurs in the field of beekeeping, Smart beekeeping to enhance productivity of honey, Challenges faced by entrepreneurs, possible solutions and reward of entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurship in smart beekeeping, Introduction to business management skills and business management skills in beekeeping among others.
