  • Dr. Didacienne Mukanyiligira has received a BSc in Electromechanical Engineering from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), currently University of Rwanda (UR). She holds a Master of Science Degree in Information and Communication Systems from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. She completed her PhD studies in Electrical Engineering, research field of Telecommunication from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is currently an Analyst in charge of Technology Innovation and Intellectual Property at National Council for Science and Technology (NCST).

Short description of the project: The main goal of this project is to build the IoT skills capacity of graduate females in ICT through training and internships, workshops on IoT-related business and entrepreneurship skills to equip them to compete at job market level and even create their own business in this field. The students will be trained on leadership skills and be provided information on available opportunities for employment through networking with successful females. This project will train 20 female graduates from ICT and Electrical and electronics engineering in the area of Business and Entrepreneurship so that they will be able to produce their small business projects in IoT within one year
