University of Johannesburg’s Vice Chancellor visits ACEIoT

On August 5th 2019, a delegation from the University of Johannesburg led by its Vice Chancellor and Principal Prof. Tshilidzi Marwala visited African Center of Excellence in Internet of Things ,University of Rwanda.

The delegation was accompanied by Prof. Nelson Ijumba, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs and Research at University of Rwanda.

Prof. Santhi Kumaran, Director of the Center extended her warm welcome to the delegation and highlighted different activities that are carried out at the Center.

Prof. Tshilidzi Marwala toured different facilities that are used by postgraduates students and interacted with students to understand their interest in joining the African Center of Excellence in Internet of things. 

In their interactions, students talked about their research projects and were advised to ensure their projects benefit the society.

It is expected that Prof. Tshilidzi Marwala will deliver a public lecture on Fourth Industrial Revolution at University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.
